Norma’s Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 9 inch pie crusts
  • 1 large can of pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, well-beaten
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp dark molasses
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 13 oz evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Line pie pans with pastry
  2. Preheat oven to 450
  3. Combine ingredients in order given
  4. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes reduce heat quickly (leave oven door ajar) to slow oven to 325
  5. Continue baking 30 minutes or so or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
  6. Serve with Cool Whip
