Sausage gravy
Ingredients
  • 1 lbs breakfast sausage
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3-4 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Lawry’s
  • 2 tbsp Cholula hot sauce
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Brown sausage over medium heat until cooked
  2. Step 2
    Turn to medium low heat and sprinkle in flour, mixing constantly until flour is absorbed into meat
  3. Step 3
    Slowly pour 3 cups of milk in, whisking constantly
  4. Step 4
    Add pepper, Lawry’s and hot sauce, stir well
  5. Step 5
    Cook gravy on medium low, stirring often, until gravy thickens (should take 10-15 minutes)
  6. Step 6
    If gravy is too thick add a bit more milk
